Thisstudybringsoutthepotentialefficacyofhybridtechniquesforwaterdisinfection.Thetechniquesstudiedinclude,hydrodynamic cavitation(HC),acousticcavitationandtreatmentwithhydrogenperoxide.Thesemethodswereassessedindividuallyaswellasin combinationwitheachotherfortherateofdisinfectionsenergyefficiencyandcost.ThehybridtechniquewhichcombinesHC,acoustic cavitationandhydrogenperoxideappearstobeanattractivealternativetoasingletechniqueforthereductionintheheterotropicplate countbacteriaaswellasindicatormicroorganismsliketheTotalcoliforms,FecalcoliformsandFecalstreptococci.
